Silicone Baking Cups {Review}

Baking is a huge hobby of mine and I do bake alot. I have even continuously made my daughter's 1st & 2nd birthday cakes. I'm always looking for something that will make it easier on me when prepping or the tiniest bit to make it easier such as things being reusable.

Now when we make cupcakes we all know how well those paper cups do not stay up well when you pour any type of mix into them, not to mention how much they stick to the cupcake and when you pull the apart, they rip the edges.

This is wear silicone baking cups come in handy. They are great sturdy cups, in bright colors, they are food safe silicone. They are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and even freezer safe! How many can you say that about!?

These baking cups fill so easily. It's so refreshing not to have to move a paper cup so many times once the batter is in and the walls start to fall. For reviewing purposes I did use some as well so to compare while putting batter in and baking.

You can visibly see the difference between how well the silicone fills with no moving of the cups versus the paper where the sort of buckle once you put batter in it. Then it makes the cupcakes weird.

Side by side view of the cups ready to go in the oven. I love the pop of color from the cups and my sprinkles. I was very bored when I did this and they didn't come out the way that I wanted. OOPS!

Cupcakes fresh out of the oven, don't mind the color, I spaced what I was doing, mommy brain had me side tracked and I almost burnt them. But irrelevant since it was to make my review.
I love how they are almost all the same size using the silicone cups versus the paper.
They still came out amazingly easy. Keep in mind, I did not spray anything in either cups in order to try this. Just baked as I normally would.

You can see how clean the silicone cup ones came out clean against the paper cups. After using these I would never go back to paper and really need to invest in more of these silicone cups.
One thing I wasn't overly thrilled with is that when I did bake, after I did have to let them sit in water to be able to wash them since it does take a little scrubbing to get them out of the tiny crevices. I will definitely try them in the dish washer to see if they come out cleaner than hand washing, it also may have been because I also over cooked them. Either way, trial and error.

I would definitely purchase more and greatly recommend them to others.

Hango Lunch Bags {Review}

While being on the kick off with my weight loss, I'm always on the look out for a big enough lunch bag(s) to store my stuff in especially while I'm at work as I can't leave to just grab a snack and if I have healthier options with me, I'm less likely to snack on work junk.
So when Hango let me review their small & large lunch bag set, I was game to put them to the test.

The lunch bags are black with a brown handle, with a nice clean design. They definitely kept my snacks cold while I was at work. The handles make them easy to carry. Double zipper makes it easy to close on both sides, middle etc.

These bags would be great for on the go, even if you were going somewhere that you needed drinks, it fits 6 cans nicely in the large bag.

Yes I'm hiding the label since it was all I had in the house at the time but wanted to show the capacity of the these bags.
Even the small bag is good for a quick snack on the go, for the kids, even yourself.
They are definitely handy.

Although compared to what I take for my dinner for work, including my giant thing of water, these bags are on the smaller side. If you don't take as much as I do - these would be perfect for you, or even the kids to take their school lunches.

However, I'm one to try to improvise, I did find a great use for the larger lunch bag!!
Be prepared to gasp - yes, that's right I used it as a makeup bag!

I know you might think that I'm crazy in this case, but it's so hard to find a large makeup bag without it being a suitcase and costing an absurd amount of money! So in my pinch of needing some place to put my makeup, this bag worked!! So in this case it definitely holds alot!

No matter what you decided to use these bags for, they are a great choice and have a lifetime warranty!
If you've heard enough of my blabbing and want to go buy your own,

Let me know your thoughts on my crazy idea for the bag.
What would you use it for?

The COVERPLUG Paintable Outlet Cover {Review}

Having a 2yr old is always a reason to have 15 sets of eyes on her at all times. But naturally you can't always. Where she is inquisitive and into everything, including outlets I had to see if there was something else to keep her safe.

Thankfully Coverplug let me review there 2 pack of their COVERPLUG paintable outlet covers.

They are your standard plastic and look just like your outlet covers without the holes, you don't need any tools to instal/put them in, it's quick and easy to do. They fit all standard electrical outlets. They are also pretty easy to remove, either you can pull them off, or without breaking a nail, stick a flat head screw driver behind it and pull forward.

It's also great because you can paint it so that it matches any room that you may need the plug, whether you want to hide the outlet or just keep curious little fingers out of harms reach.

They are made in the USA which is a big must for me.

The one fault, I did have is that although in theory it's a great design - it wasn't foolproof for my 2yr old tornado. She noticed that it was there the day after I put it in and she didn't see me place it either and immediately went to pull it out to try to plug something else in the spot. Now mind you this isn't something I encourage and she knows she isn't supposed to do it but is currently at the testing mommy stage. That isn't to say that other children wouldn't leave it alone but my toddler isn't your normal toddler, she is way smarter than most people give her credit for.

I would still highly recommend them because they do make your wall look simplified and clean and would still benefit a younger child. If there was one recommendation that I could make to cover plug, it might be to add some kind of clip or screw just in the center to firmly fold it in place.

Overall I would definitely considering purchasing more of these covers!
